The Christmas theatre play “Three Kings” performed in Benkovac

Collaboration with the local community is of utmost importance to us, so during this pre-holiday season, we undertook a series of activities, starting with those for the youngest citizens, to bring the joy of Christmas to the little ones and their families.

We invited the Theatre from Zagreb to the town of Benkovac with their play “Three Kings,” directed by the award-winning artist Petra Radin. The three wise men, Balthazar, Gaspar, and Melchior, told the story of Christmas, guiding us all the way to Bethlehem over 2000 years ago. With smiles on their faces and a lot of spirit, they played their cards through top-notch actors, spreading joy for miles around. And Christmas is precisely that joy – the joy of life.

Even though a football match was played at the World Cup in Qatar that same evening, the interest of the little ones was still significant, and we are happy that we brought a touch of Christmas atmosphere to Benkovac in this characteristic way, through the laughter and music of the acting trio.

In the end, we all treated ourselves with chocolate and Christmas cookies, enjoying a pleasant time with the theater group from Zagreb, actors Luka Petrušić, Josipa Brakus, and Matija Šakoronja.

We hope to repeat this successful collaboration next year with another Christmas play from the Zagreb Puppet Theatre.
