Another successfully completed project is behind us: three donated solar power plants installed on the rooftops of primary schools in Trilj, Dicmo, and Tijarica have received all the necessary connections and have begun producing clean, locally generated energy.
Ante Starčević Primary School in Dicmo, Stjepan Radić Primary School in Tijarica, and Primary School in Trilj have joined the positive trend of installing photovoltaic systems on public institutions and, as of this year, are generating electricity for their own needs.

By using the energy produced from their own solar power plant, not only are electricity costs reduced, but clean energy is ensured, energy independence is increased, and environmental protection is supported.
The solar power plants installed on the schools also become a powerful educational tool. The students of the schools that received this valuable donation no longer learn about renewable energy sources only from textbooks—they now have them right above their classrooms. They can integrate their solar panels into regular lessons, monitoring real‑time data and learning through practical, hands‑on examples.
This donation is especially important for developing environmental awareness, as children who understand the importance of renewable energy sources and reducing harmful CO₂ emissions from an early age and throughout primary education develop a more responsible attitude toward their environment.
In addition to gaining knowledge, students also develop a sense of pride and belonging to a school that actively contributes to a more sustainable community. Innovative projects such as this one encourage curiosity, critical thinking, and greater interest in STEM fields, and can have a positive impact on their future career choices.
Two 10 kW solar power plants and one 20 kW system will provide electricity for these schools for the next thirty years, powered entirely by a clean, natural energy source – the Sun.
ENCRO is proud to be part of this positive story and will continue, as part of its corporate social responsibility, to remain an active member of the community and contribute to the regions where it develops renewable energy projects — through various activities, donations, and events that support a better, smarter, and more sustainable future.
