New School Year: Contribution to Local Communities Through Donations of School and Educational Equipment in Benkovac, Gračac, and Trilj

New Smart Boards for the New School Year at Trilj Primary School and the Srb Branch School

To help ensure that everything is ready for the new school year in the local communities hosting our renewable energy projects, we donated new smart boards, interactive displays that replace traditional classroom blackboards, to Trilj Primary School and the Srb Branch School in Gračac. These advanced teaching tools enrich the learning experience for both students and teachers through the use of modern technology.

Interactive learning, which these smart boards enable, has been proven to support a better understanding of educational content and facilitate the learning process. In addition, smart boards increase student motivation and engagement while encouraging creativity by offering a wide range of opportunities that go beyond traditional teaching methods, which can also be effectively combined with new technologies.

The donation of a smart board to Trilj Primary School was made possible by the Voštane-Kamensko Wind Farm, while the smart board donated to the Srb Branch School was provided through the support of the Poštak Wind Farm.

What makes these donations particularly meaningful is the fact that they will benefit the youngest students, whose classrooms have been equipped with the new smart boards just as they prepare to embark on their educational journey. This autumn, many of them will be taking their seats in a classroom for the very first time. We sincerely wish them every success, curiosity, and many happy memories as they begin one of life’s most rewarding journeys.

Helping Ensure a Better School Experience for Students in Benkovac

Alongside our support for the digitalisation of classrooms in Srb and Trilj, we have for many years provided assistance to economically disadvantaged families in Benkovac. Our goal is to ensure that children from households facing financial challenges receive all the necessary school supplies and learning materials required for their education.

In cooperation with the local communities of Bruška and Medviđa, we once again ensured a smoother start to the new school year for 32 students. For 15 primary school pupils from Medviđa, Bruška and Rodaljice, located near our ZD2/3 and ZD2P/3P Wind Farms, we provided all the school supplies they need for the upcoming academic year.

Through its educational support programme, the City of Benkovac provides primary school students with the textbooks required for their education. Building on this initiative, we supplied additional school essentials, including backpacks, notebooks, pencils and other classroom necessities.

An added value of our donation is that we also equipped a total of 17 secondary school students with all the compulsory textbooks and educational materials required for their studies. Unlike primary school students, secondary school students are generally responsible for obtaining their own textbooks. Eight of these students come from communities located near our wind farms, while the remaining nine come from the wider Benkovac area.

Our Group takes great pride in its cooperation with educational institutions in the local communities that host our renewable energy projects. Recognising the importance of education, particularly in smaller communities, supporting schools remains an integral part of our commitment to creating positive social impact and will continue to be a key focus of our community engagement activities in the years ahead.
