In the elegant setting of the Alkarski dvori restaurant, located within the historic complex of the same name dating back to the 19th century, a school quiz competition was held with the participation of around 80 students from the Dinko Šimunović High School. The special guest and quiz moderator was well-known quiz contestant and “Chaser” Morana Zibar.
As many as fifteen teams of students from the Sinj high school tested their knowledge in the fields of general and popular culture, as well as local landmarks of their region. Special emphasis was also placed on topics related to renewable energy sources, giving students the opportunity not only to demonstrate their knowledge but also to gain a deeper understanding of the importance of renewable energy and its application in their immediate surroundings.

Despite a strong competitive spirit, the students of Dinko Šimunović High School also demonstrated a commendable level of maturity, courtesy and mutual respect, creating a pleasant and positive atmosphere while encouraging one another to adhere to the principles of fair play.
The restaurant space of Alkarski dvori was also visited by curious locals, who stopped by to greet the event and the popular “Chaser” from the well‑known quiz show. In addition to the high school students, their geography teacher and the school principal also attended, expressing their gratitude for the organization and their enthusiasm for Morana Zibar’s appearance, as well as their support for such educational activities and cooperation for the benefit of the local community.

Following the conclusion of the quiz, the students received certificates and commendations for their demonstrated knowledge, along with appropriate prizes for the best-performing teams, the most creative team name, and the most beautiful handwriting. After the award ceremony, the students spent some additional time taking photos with Morana and exchanging impressions after the event, during which promises were made to continue participating in local quiz competitions. Some of them even said they plan to try their luck on The Chase in the near future.
It was a pleasure for us to be part of this quiz and to promote events like this that contribute to the popularization of knowledge and quizzing among young people. This is a special form of entertainment that brings together socializing, a sense of community and competitive spirit, critical thinking, as well as active leisure time without smart screens—activities that young people today increasingly lack. Morana Zibar made a particularly significant contribution by advocating the promotion of quiz culture among the youth, for which we thank her, as well as for this wonderful and successful collaboration that we will most certainly continue to nurture.
